If I were to define myself in a single word, it would be "dad". Being a father to two young children is by far the most rewarding experience of my life.

Sure, there are other attributes - leader, self-proclaimed alpha-geek, confident, skeptic, technologist, assertive, passionate, focused, inquisitive, determined and probably a few unmentionables.

I've been in and around technology most of my life. As a kid I had a lot of fun writing my own games in BASIC and recording them to cassette. In the 80s and 90s I'm not sure I had a clue about the role technology would play in my life. Looking back I'm not surprised how things turned out. My fascination and love of computing has [sometimes] been a borderline obsession.

Until the end of May 2011 I worked for a Global Fortune 500 company. When I started with the company I worked as a regional Sr. Systems Engineer. Over the next ten years I worked my way through nearly every level of the Infrastructure organization. During my last two years I served as Vice President, Information Technology in the Infrastructure group. It was a fantastic learning opportunity. I met a lot of great people along the way and it's one of my best work experiences to date.

I'm currently working as VP of Operations and CIO for a technology integrator, I also run the Managed and Support Services P&L.
